Leroy Rhodes

Leroy Rhodes, was born to Mary Alice Rhodes and Leroy Grant on October 27, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois, His parents preceded him in death. Leroy was the youngest of six children. He graduated from Manley High School in Chicago, Illinois. He confessed a hope in Christ at Mercy C. Baptist Church, in Chicago, Illinois. In 1999, Leroy moved to Rochelle, Illinois, where he was loved by many. He began work as a laborer at Silgan, a company where Leroy was loved, always a pleasure to see and talk to, He will be missed dearly. He was a devoted father and a kind and loving person, always the one who would make you laugh, when you were down. There was never a dull moment whenever Leroy was present. He would always give you that kool-aid smile. Leroy passed from this on October 25, 2007 in Rochelle, Illinois. He leaves to cherish his loving memory; beloved Pat Woodard who was the love of his life until death; three children, Christopher Rhodes (19), Lauren Booker (16) and Brittany; one grandchild, Lanyia Young; one grandfather, James Reece; three sisters, Zenovia Allen, Pamela Baggett and Patricia Ann Rhodes (who preceded him in death); two brothers, John Lee Rhodes (who preceded him in death), Jimmy Clarance Rhodes (Jackie); three special children whom he also loved, Mikinzie, Dakota and Justin; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
