Marcus William Albrecht Jr.

Marcus Albrecht, Jr., 94, of Ashton passed away December 13, 2010 at Franklin Grove Nursing Center surrounded by his family. Marcus was born March 7, 1916 in Ashton, Il. Son of Marcus Sr. and Anna Albrecht. He married Evelyn Eich February 9, 1942. He was a farmer for 45 years and also did carpentry and plumbing work. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; three sons, Jerry (Maureen), Duane (Jenny) and Steen (Bonnie); nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Earl; sisters, Mildred Sachs, Gladys Voss and Thelma Lawson. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday December 18, 2010 at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Jonathan Black officiating. Interment Ashton Cemetery. A visitation will be held 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday December 17, 2010 at Coulon-Lyons Family Funeral Home 601 Richardson Ave.,Ashton, there will also be a one hour visitation prior to services at church.
