Doris Pickle, 72, of Rockford, formerly of Ashton, Il., passed away September 15, 2007 at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. Doris was born August 18, 1935 in Lee County, the daughter of Walter J. Pickle and Edith Miller Pickle. She lived in Ashton from 1962 - 1992, Sun City, AZ. 1992 - 2003 and Rockckford, Il. 2003 - 2007. She graduated from Monroe Center High School in 1953 and she was a avid world traveler. She is survived by one sister; Verla Krug of Ashton, Il., one sister in-law; Lucille Pickle of Monroe Center, Il., five nieces; Pamela Krushenberg, Debra Deets, Denise-Pickle Dornback (Michael), Kim (Terry) Smith and Doris (Rick) Kennay, three very special cousins; Kaye (Donnie) Cowan of Farmington. NM., Rose (Larry) Larsen of Rochelle, Il., and Daniel L. (Jean) Miller of Ashton, Il.. Preceded in death by one brother; Walter Pickle. Graveside service will be held 10:30 am Thursday September 20, 2007 at Monroe Center Cemetery, Monroe Center, IL. With Pastor Bob Mellon officiating.
