Dorothy Ventler, 97, of Ashton, passed away August 20, 2007 at The Neighbors Nursing Home. Dorothy was born July 26, 1910. Daughter of Joseph Leddy and Katherine Riesenbeck. She married Harold H. Ventler March 8, 1940. Preceded in death by her husband, one daughter Karen and two brothers Tom and John. She is survived by two nephews Tom (Carla) Leddy and Jim Leddy, one niece Terry (Rick) Eparvier and many loving great-nieces and great-nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday August 24 at Coulon-Lyons Family Funeral Home 601 Richardson Ave., Ashton, Il., 815-453-2441 with Pastor Jonathan Black officiating. Internment Ashton Cemetery. A visitation will be held 9:00 - 11:00 am prior to services. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society and/or Leukemia Society
