Rita R. Campuzano, 60, of DeKalb passed away April 8, 2010 at Kishwaukee Hospital surrounded by her family. Rita was born June 13, 1949 in Sycamore, Il., daughter of Arthur and Katherine (King) Lawrence. She married George Campuzano June 13, 1967 in Sycamore, IL. Rita loved her grandchildren, coffee, bingo, country music and talking to her sisters on the phone everyday. She is survived by her husband, George of DeKalb; two daughters, Jonie Johnson of Mendota and Kami (Miguel) Lazaro of DeKalb; two sons, Bret Campuzano of DeKalb and Craig Campuzano of DeKalb; grandchildren, Jonelle Johnson, Douglas Johnson, Corben Campuzano, Derek Bonney, Reann Lazaro, Miguel (Mikey) Lazaro, Jr., Alonzo Lazaro, and Elias Lazaro all of DeKalb; one great-granddaughter, Emilee Mendez; four sisters, Donna Blanco of DeKalb, Linda (Norman) Aves of Creston, Alice (Vincent) Perez of DeKalb and Sandra Lawrence of DeKalb. Aunt of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Katherine (King) Lawrence and one brother, Clark Lawrence. Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday April 15 at Sycamore United Methodist Church, with Pastor Bill Landis officiating. A memorial visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until time of service at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded.
