George Leo Miller

George Miller, 87, of Rochelle passed away November 10, 2010 at Rochelle Rehab & Health Care Center. George was born July 5, 1923 in Dixon, Il. Son of Abraham and Ada Miller. He married Norma Edwards June 28, 1953 in Ashton, Il.. He served in the Army overseas during WWII, was a member of VFW Post 3878. George loved to garden and he especially loved to raise tomatoes and Indian corn. He is survived by his wife, Norma; two sons, Jeffery (Leanne) Miller, Scott (Deann) Miller; one daughter, Sandra (Duane) Blume; six grandchildren, Nicole (Mike) Stuckert, Michelle Miller, Justin (Renee) Miller, Austin Blume, Sara Blume and Katy Ray; one great-grandchild, Aleya Ray; one sister, Carol Troxel; his bud Henry Ramer and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Clifford, Ray, Robert, Earl and Emmert; four sisters, Marian, June, Fern and Ruby. Funeral service will be held 12:00 pm Saturday November 13, 2010 at Coulon-Lyons Family Funeral Home 815-562-6872 with Rev. Dr. James Tilley officiating. Interment will be at Trinity Memory Gardens.
