Evelyn Mae Cain

Evelyn Cain, 85, lifetime resident of Ashton, passed away April 30, 2009 at KSB Hospital in Dixon, Il.. She was born November 4, 1923 in Ashton, daughter of Arthur Kersten and Minnie Henert. She married John Robert Cain on March 30, 1946 in Ashton, Il. Evelyn was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Ashton. She was an accomplished pianist and had a passion for God’s Garden of Flowers. She is survived by her three daughters, Carli (Gary) Robinson of Medical Lake, Washington, Tana (Jerry) Spires of Rochelle, IL., and Renee (Jed) Poust of East Moline, IL.; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob; two brothers, Clarence and Raymond. A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday May 6, 2009 from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. with services at 11:30 A.M. at the Ashton United Methodist Church of Ashton, with Pastor Monica William officiating.
