Bernadine E. Collins, 80, of Ashton passed away December 20, 2007 at home surrounded by her family. Bernadine was born May 24, 1927 to Oliver J. Krug, Sr. And Violetta Vaupel Krug. She married Paul White in 1946 in San Diego, California. To this union two sons were born – John Paul and Thomas Oliver. She married Aaron Collins in 1970. He preceded her in death in 1980. She was a secretary at Crest Foods for several years before moving to Ottawa in 1971. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ottawa. She moved back to Ashton in 1989 and retired from Spurgeons in 1993. She is survived by her two sons - John (Deanna) and Thomas of Ashton. She has five grandchildren: Jennifer (Craig) Scott of Sycamore, Il., Kelly (Eric) Nault of Dresser, Wi., T.J. White of Dixon, Il., Brian White of Oregon, Il., Kathryn White of Lake Bluff, Il., and six Great Grandchildren: Trenton, Brooke and Jake Scott of Sycamore, Il., Hailey White of Oregon, Il. Bryce and Bjorn Nault of Dresser, Wi. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday December 22, 2007 at Coulon-Lyons Family Funeral Home 601 Richardson Ashton, Il. 815-453-2441.
