Margaret M. Friday

Margaret M. Friday, 92, of Chana, passed away August 18, 2008 at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb. Margaret was born May 31, 1916 near Chana, Il., daughter of Mary (Schier) and Andrew Foss. She married Gertis Friday January 28, 1941 in Paynes Point. Margaret’s heart was in her cooking and she was known for her black raspberry pies. She liked to sew and work in her garden. She is survived by her husband, Gertis; three daughters, Doris Wunner of Tyler, TX., Evelyn (Jim) Worrell of DeKalb and Mary Lou (William) Foster of Peoria, AZ.; six grandchildren, Scott, Doug and Annette Wunner, Crystal Garvey, David Foster and Heather McCune; four great-grandchildren, Brenton, Justin, Ethan and Colin Wunner. Preceded in death by six brothers, Albert, Harry, Ray, Edgar, George and infant Russell. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday August 20, 2008 at Ashton United Methodist Church with a one hour visitation prior. Rev. Monica William will officiate. Interment Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle. Memorials may be made to Ashton United Methodist Church or Charity of choice.
