Mary Ellen (Coffey) Dickenson passed away July 25 at Rochelle Rehab & Healthcare Center. Born Feb. 17, 1937 in Alma, KS., daughter of Joseph and Hazel (Kietzmann) Eagan. Attended schools in Topeka, KS. Employed by Amoco Oil, Rochelle terminal, retiring in 1999. Was a member of the VFW and WOTM 438. Married L.R. (Tex) Dickenson on March 25, 1988. He preceded her in death. Survivors include, daughter, Jane (Joe) Redcliff of Rochelle, IL.; son, Richard (Tesia) Coffey, of LaCygne, KS.; daughter-in-law LaCinda (Coffey) Hansen, of Steward, IL.; Sisters, Delores (Nolan )Landry and Judy Delfelder, of Topeka, KS.; brothers, Steve (Nancy) Eagan and John (Pam) Eagan, of Topeka, KS.; seven grandchildren, Tara (Dan) Yanes, of Rock Falls, IL., Derek (Kate) Huber, of Aurora, IL., Jake Redcliff, of Rochelle, IL., LaCole and Trevor Coffey, of Steward, IL., and Samantha and Timothy Coffey, of LaCygne, KS., also surviving are three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Tim Coffey; and a sister, Margaret Hinson. There will not be a visitation, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
