Don was born January 9, 1932 in Aurora, IL., son of Ralph and Eileen Kemmerer. He married Patricia Armour March 20, 1954 in Naperville, Il.. Don was an lifetime farmer, an avid Cubs fan and gardener. Survivors include his wife, Patricia; two sons, Kurtis (Marilyn) of Sublette, Il. And Kevin (Lori) of Ashton, Il.; one daughter, Kari (Ernest “JR”) Grobe of Dixon., Il.; one sister, Ione (Robert) Van Dyke of Joliet, Il; seven grandchildren, Travis, Dylan, Kyle Kemmerer, Nathan, Brittany Grobe, Colby Kemmerer and McKayla Harvey; and a special friend Kathy (Roger) Edson. A funeral service will be held 10:30 am Thursday January 22, 2009 at Reynolds United Methodist Church, Ashton. Il. with Pastor Allen Meyer officiating. Interment at Ashton Cemetery.
