Amber June Sampson

Amber June Sampson, 99, of Somonauk, IL passed away November 5, 2019. Amber was born on June 13, 1920 in Victor Township in Illinois to Arthur and Myrtle (Condill) Masear. She married Donald Sampson on July 18, 1941. She loved spending time with and taking care of her family. She would always cook homemade meals and liked to make her own clothes and sew quilts and afghans. She would also garden and play cards in her free time.

Amber is survived by her daughter, Sheila Palmatier; 4 grandchildren, Tammy Palmatier, Valleri (Gary) Wathen, Kelly Palmatier and Justin (Aubrey) Palmatier; 5 great grandchildren, Joe (Donna) Wathen, Jay Wathen, John Wathen, Ashlynn Avenarius and Madilynn Palmatier; 2 great great grandchildren, Tatum Wathen and Addysen Wathen; as well as special family, Gail (Curtis) Kitner.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; 1 daughter, Karen Sampson; 1 son-in-law, John Palmatier; 3 sisters, Olive Miller, Viola Wormland and Mary Miller; and 3 brothers, Jospeh, Lewis and Alton.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 8, 2019 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548.
