Amie Marie Friel Brown

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Amie Marie Friel Brown. Amie passed away at her home on January 29, 2022. She was born to Kevin Friel and Tracey (Ketchum) Friel in Aurora, IL on April 5, 1979. At the age of 2, Amie, her brother Mike, and her sister Miranda, were adopted by their grandma, Lorraine Friel.

Amie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Louis and Lorraine Friel, and her maternal grandparents, Ivan and Sally Ketchum, as well as her cousin, Brennan Friel. She is survived by her nephews, Michael and Nicolas Friel, Jacob Kremer, her niece, Skye Kremer and many nieces in the Brown family. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Ryan Friel and her sister Miranda Ann (Ryan) Kremer.

When Amie loved, she loved with her whole heart and Amie loved her nieces and nephews more than anything in this world. She was an avid animal lover; she never met an animal she didn’t want to rescue and love. We loved our dear Amie with all of our hearts and we would give anything to hear her laugh and see her smile just one more time. Amie was a bright spark in this world and she will be deeply missed by many.

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548. Memorial service will follow at 4:00 P.M.
