Barbara Sue Falk

Barbara Falk, 89, of Leland, IL, formerly of Aurora, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Central Dupage Hospital.

She was born on January 8, 1933 in Aurora, IL to the late Robert and Viola Blackwood.

Barbara grew up in Aurora and graduated from West Aurora High School in 1951. She met the love of her life Siegfried at a dance at Longs Barn. There were married October 10, 1953 and spent the next 61 happy years together until Sigs passing in 2015.

She enjoyed all the summer family camping vacations, traveling around the United States. She loved to go to garage sales and craft fairs. Spending time at their Florida family home was a joy for her. She loved to wash dishes, iron clothing and watch the sunset from her bedroom window. She will be greatly missed by her companion dog, Snoopy.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberlie; Son, Timothy; grandchildren, John Malone (Angela), Nikki (Kyle) and Kristina; Great grandchildren, Abigail, Anthony, Grayson and Tessia; 1 brother, Richard of Florida; As well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Siegfried; Daughter, Stephanie; Son, Kevin; Parents, Viola and Robert Blackwood; Brothers, Robert and Donald Blackwood; As well as a sister, Maxine Molitor.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL. A private family graveside service will take place the next day at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Beverage Family Funeral Home.
