Clarence L. Freeland

Clarence L. Freeland, 87, of Mendota, IL passed away on January 10, 2023. Clarence was born on February 21, 1935 in Sandwich, IL to Robert and Olive (Datschetski) Freeland. Clarence worked at Barber Green in Aurora, IL for 19 years. He then went on to work for the City of Sandwich until his retirement. He enjoyed working on small engines, fishing, and hunting. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a loving father and grandfather.

Clarence is survived by 3 children, Wanda Freeland of Apache Junction, AZ, Gena (Scott Michael) Bedford of Sandwich, IL and Bobby Freeland of Henry, IL; 3 grandchildren, Nichole (John) Bubolz of Sandwich, IL, Jason (Jamie) Bedford of Mendota, IL and Amy (Kent) Verda of Earlville, IL; 6 great grandchildren, Kaylin Bedford, Michael Bedford, Brooklyn Verda, Nicholas Bubolz, Trevor Bubolz and Haley Bubolz; As well as 2 sisters, Diane Haas and Jessie Haas.

He is preceded in death by his parents; His wife, Jacqueline “Sherri” Freeland; 1 sister, Louise Foster; And 4 brothers, Richard, Robert, Danny and Jimmy.

Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry Street, Sandwich, Illinois 60548.
