Danny J. Bowers

Danny J. Bowers, 76, of Sandwich, IL passed away on February 7, 2022. Danny was born on July 20, 1945 in Freeport, IL to Kenneth and Ruth (Dittmar) Bowers. He was a handyman and had a passion for work. He also enjoyed fishing and hiking and loved being around his family and grandchildren.

Danny is survived by his wife, Judy; 2 children, Jenna (Chris and boys, Dallas and Dalton) Rice of Marseilles, IL and Jonica Piron of Somonauk, IL; 1 grandchild, Evan (Kaitlea) Piron in the Airforce; 1 great grandchild, Karter Piron; 1 sister, Patty (Ron) Hutter of El Paso, TX; 1 half sister, Connie (Chris) Campbell of Claremont, FL; 2 sisters-in-law, Betty Mathes of Sandwich, IL and Jan Bowers of Chicago; Great nephew, Ryan; As well as many other nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and Ralph Dobbs, who he considered a father; 2 brothers, Larry and Terry Bowers; As well as a sister, Jackie Averill.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548. Cremation rites will be accorded.
