David C. Hayes

David C. Hayes, 65, of Sandwich, IL passed away on June 3, 2022. David was born on September 15, 1956 in Aurora, IL to Thomas A. and Mary Emma (Huss) Hayes. David was a heavy equipment operator for the local 150. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and tend to his garden. He was also a member of the Newark Sportsman’s club. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working on his old truck “Pete”. He loved spending time with his 2 daughters and his grandson.

David is survived by his significant other, Dorina Fitzpatrick; 2 children, Jessica (Brian Yates) Hayes and Nikki Hayes; 1 grandchild, Sylas Saxton; 3 siblings, Daryl (Betty) Hayes, Fredrick (Nancy) Hayes and Denise (Stephen) Krafft; A dog, Noodles Winchester; Mother of his children, Diana Hayes; As well as several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be donated to family or to the Newark Sportsman’s Club.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry Street Sandwich, IL 60548. Memorial service will be held same day at 7:00 P.M. with pastor Kaul officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. Arrangements were entrusted to Beverage Family Funeral Home.
