Edwina A. Vincent

Edwina A (DeJonghe) Vincent of Hinckley passed away on Wednesday April 2nd, 2025 at OSF St Anthony's in Rockford.

She was born February 8, 1942 in Chicago to Edmund and Alyce DeJonghe. Edwina married the love of her life, Bill Vincent Sr on June 18, 1960 at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Aurora, IL.

Edwina was loved by so many and always went out of her way to help whoever needed it. She was active in many clubs and organizations throughout the community and her church community. She loved spending her time with her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. Her greatest pastime was when the grandkids came to visit.

She was a longtime member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Sandwich and was the secretary at the church for over 30 years.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; Children, Rita Bjornson, Bill Jr (Johanna), Dave (Christine Clark), Bridget (Cris) Bowen, Barb (Ken) Nowacki, Mary, Jenn (Carl) Key and a very special daughter in law Cindy Williams; Siblings, Joey (Rita) Winze, Shirley Carlson and Christine Kroemer; As well as 33 grandchildren and step grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, a son Mike, granddaughter Edwina Rose, great grandson Jaxson Michael Brown, a son in law Leonard Bjornson, 2 brothers Rick & Eddie DeJonghe.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 340 W. Arnold St. Sandwich, IL 60548, with a visitation from 10:00 A.M. till time of service. Internment will be at a later date at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Beverage Family Funeral Home.
