Glenda Ann Johnson

Glenda Ann Johnson, age 80, a resident of Sandwich, Illinois passed away on March 27, 2019. She was born on June 17, 1938 to Severt and Arlene (Severtson) Wicks.

Glenda is survived by her 4 children; Reverend Jeff (Mary) Coester of Sterling, IL, Kevin Johnson, Paul Johnson of Hermosa Beach, CA, and Lana (Florian) Wimunc; 4 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Glenda is proceeded in death by her parents; first husband, Bill Coester; sister, Nancy Gardner; beloved Mother-in-Law Vera Johnson; and her very best friends, Donna Mae (Poopsie) Horton, Mary Shumway, Lana Kupp and Joni Knox.

Glenda attended Lisbon Grade School and graduated from Newark High School. She worked at Edgebrook Country Club, Fountain Medical Group, Aurora Cord and Cable Co., Plano Walmart in the Bakery Department and the Cash Office. She loved to cook, bowl, play scrabble and euchre.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 10:00 – 12:00  with funeral service at 12 noon at Beverage Family Funeral with Rev. Jim Allen of the Shabbona United Church of Christ officiating. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery Yorkville, IL.
