Glenn J. Rawers

Glenn J. Rawers, 78, of Sandwich, IL passed away on January 11, 2024. Glenn was born on October 28, 1945 in Evergreen Park, IL to Elmer and Evelyn (Hucksold) Rawers. Glenn married Arlene LaBuda and they’ve spent 55 years together.

Glenn served in the US Army from 1965-1967. He was also a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Sandwich and the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and loved pets, no matter the animal. He had a cat, Mallory, that was very special to him. He was a devoted father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Glenn was also very proud of his German heritage.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Arlene; Son, Daniel (Catherine (Cati)) Rawers of Hinckley, IL; And 2 grandchildren, Philip Rawers of Sheridan, IL and Caitlyn (Benjaman Manning) Rawers of Northern Ireland.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 340 W. Arnold St. Sandwich, IL 60548. A funeral mass will be held at 12:00 P.M. with a committal service to follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Somonauk, IL. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Beverage Family Funeral Home.
