James (Jim) A. Curry

James (Jim) Alan Curry, 63, of Yorkville, IL passed away on May 26, 2023. Jim was born on October 12, 1959 in St. Charles, IL to James John and Kathleen (Blanchard) Curry.

Jim grew up in St. Charles, where he played baseball, basketball, golf, as well as worked for Pottawatomie Golf Course though high school. He was an avid golfer and guitar player, and enjoyed playing in his band. He was wonderful at playing guitar.  He also enjoyed fishing trips to the boundary waters and going to Cubs games. Jim worked as a car mechanic, forklift mechanic and elevator mechanic. He was the world’s biggest Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan. Jim was a wonderful father of 5 girls.

Jim is survived by his wife, Patti; 4 daughters, Ashley Gette (Grant), Rayanne, Katie and Shannon; Step-children, Danny and Jacki Darnell; Sister, Wendy (Richard) Merz; 8 grandchildren, Jacob, Emery, Oliver, CJ, Nathan, Mia, Albina and Dino; Step-daughter, Brandy McGlothlin; As well as a niece, Heather and a nephew, Richard.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Wife, Kandy; And daughter, Jamee.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry Street Sandwich, IL 60548.
