Jeffrey M. Hacker

Jeffrey M. Hacker, 60, of Leland, IL passed away on January 20, 2024. Jeff was taken too soon. He was born on July 24, 1963 in Hinsdale, IL to Donald Hacker and Betty McClure.

Jeff's career in HVAC was fulfilling for him knowing he was helping others. He shared his vast knowledge with his coworkers whom he considered family. He was best known and adored for his optimistic disposition, sense of humor and love for music. Jeff enjoyed fishing, hiking and kayaking. He loved discussing interesting topics about earth and space. He had many creative hobbies such as photography and wood and rock carving. He was the most dedicated and caring father to his 2 children and so very proud of his 12-year-old and 4-year-old granddaughters. His heart overflowed with love for all his family and friends.  There were no limits when it came to loving others. His personality would light up a room.  Jeff's legacy as a son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, and friend will live on forever through hilarious stories and treasured memories for generations. He will be missed to the greatest extent but never forgotten.

Jeff is survived by his mother, Betty of Yorkville, IL; Children, Michael (Dena) Hacker of Lebanon, IN and Melissa ‘Mel’ (James) Johannessen of Sandwich, IL; Grandchildren, Malia and Layla Johannessen; Brothers, Donald (Shirley) Hacker of Newark, IL and Jim (Deanne) Hacker of Leland, IL; As well as sisters, Colleen (Rich) Kent of Aurora, IL and Lynne (William ‘Bill’) Mathey of Aurora, IL.

He Is preceded in death by his father, Donald.

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548.
