John Joseph Zimmer

John Joseph Zimmer, 85, of Peru, IL passed away on May 4, 2020. John was born on September 15, 1934 in Chicago, IL to Clyde and Mary (Mority) Zimmer. John was a machinist by trade. He collected antiques, such as hog oilers, gas engines and automobiles. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping animals and his pet skunk.

John is survived by his spouse, Mary Ann; 2 children, Kelly Zimmer of Plainfield, IL and Peggy (Tom) Zimmer-Jacob of Las Vegas, NV; 1 brother, Clyde Zimmer of Chicago; 3 grandchildren, Jake, Jennifer and Devin; As well as a pet dog, Rosie.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 daughter, Penny.
