Judith (Judy) Ann Rohrer

Judith A Rohrer 80 of Sandwich passed away June 21, 2022, at Hillside Nursing and rehab Yorkville, IL. after a years-long battle with cancer. She is the daughter of Margaret and Edwin Rohrer. She was born April 9, 1942. A life-long Sandwich resident, Judy was a member of the Federated Church where she sang in the choir for many years.

Judy was known in the crafting world as the (scrubby) lady, crocheting her nylon” dish scrubbers” along with other knitting and crocheting items, selling them at local craft shows. She also played organ at the manor Steak house in Earlville on Saturday nights for many years. She enjoyed volunteering at the Sandwich Opera House before her illness.

She is survived by many beloved cousins, her cats (Cindy and Kali) and by friends Joan Frieders, Georgia DeSpain, Jason Robinson, and Pat Yuvan.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts and uncles. Arrangements are being handled by the Beverage Family Funeral Home Sandwich, IL. Services will be held Tuesday June 28, 2022, at 11;00 a.m. at the Federated Church Sandwich, IL with  Rev. Randy Nicholas officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service, interment to follow at Oak Ridge cemetery Sandwich, IL.
