Judith I. Northcutt

Judith Northcutt, 76, of Plano, IL passed away on July 6, 2024 at Copley Hospital in Aurora surrounded by her family. Judith was born on August 10, 1947 in the Cooksey family home in Marion, IL to William and Dories (Cooksey) Rust.

Judy attended school in Peoria and Earlville and graduated with the class of 1965 from Sandwich, IL.

She worked after graduation for General Telephone and purchased her beloved car, a 1964 VW Bug.

Judy married Norman F. Northcutt on June 11, 1966 in Plano, IL. From this union, three children were born: Tammy, Tad and Tony. They were happily married for 58 years.

Judy worked at many jobs during her lifetime including at CTS Knights, L&W Plastics, Federal Huber, and many area stores as a cashier including Gibson’s, Walmart and Target. She was also Manager of Family Dollar in Plano. She was a great help in the family business Northcutt Electronics, also known as J&N Closeout Corner. To meet her was to like her.

Judy lived her entire life in Illinois, in Marion, Peoria, Earlville, Sandwich, Christopher and Plano.

She was preceded in death by her father William; Mother, Dories; Sister, Sandy: Brother, Danny; Stepson, Kenneth Northcutt; And Step-grandson, Matt Northcutt.

She leaves behind in addition to her husband and three children; Her grandchildren, James Hammans, Nicole (Hammans) Contreras, and Alex and Emily Wakefield. She also leaves behind several great grandchildren, including Elizabeth Hammans, Sandra and Christopher Kevern, Connor Willson, Clara and Oliver Wakefield, and several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren including a step great-great grandchild. She also leaves behind her beloved Australian Shepherd Taffy.

There will be no visitation but after son Tad gets out of the hospital, there will be a celebration of life held for her.
