Kendyl Gene Wallis

Kendyl G. Wallis, 68, of Sandwich, passed away January 27th, 2025 at his home with his children and family at his bedside.Kendyl was born in Sandwich IL to Ronald D. and Patricia A. (Mall) Wallis on April 2nd, 1956, at Woodward Memorial Hospital.

Family was always Kendyl’s most important thing in his life, his boys and their family were always first. He was a great brother, father, and a very good son. Anytime you would see Kendyl, you would see him with his mother Pat.

He enjoyed playing guitar, in fact he had seven guitars which he has passed down to his seven grandchildren. He was a civil war buff, and he also enjoyed family genealogy.

He is survived by his mother Patricia (Pat) Wallis of Sandwich.Sons; Ryan (Rachel) Wallis of Sandwich and Jason (Amanda) Wallis of Rocklin, CA.Brother; Kyle S. (Sharon) Wallis of Sandwich.Precious grandchildren Sadie, Julian, Anabella, Adrian, Davian, Gian and Jacian.Also leaving behind several nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his father Ronald, brothers Kevin and Karl, sister in law Bonnie Wallis, grandparents Franklin and Margaret Mall and Charles and Ruby Wallis.

Funeral service will be held February 2nd, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the Beverage Family Funeral Home 104 Terry St. Sandwich IL with the Rev. Titus Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. till the time of service.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Open Door Rehabilitation Center in Sandwich in Kendyl’s honor.
