Kevon Ohme

Kevon M. Ohme, 73, of Leland, IL passed away on November 22, 2024 in Sandwich, IL.

Kevon was born in Sandwich, IL to Elyot and Berline (Johnson) Ohme on July 26, 1951. He graduated in 1969 from Leland High School then attended Kishwaukee Community College. He served in the Army as a MP in the Vietnam conflict. He married Pamela Beardsley on August 21, 1976 at Bethany Lutheran in Leland, IL. He was a member of the Union Carpenters Local 1889 for 45 years. He worked for a handful of companies over the years all of which he was always well respected and liked by the companies and coworkers due to his honest and hard-working ethics. In 1985 he was able to fulfill a long time dream and was able to buy the farm his father farmed for 15 years, where him and Pam raised their 3 children.

Kevon is survived by his wife, Pam; 2 sons, Kevon “Bradley” (Jen Merfeld) and Curtis, both of Leland; A daughter, Kyla (Nathen) Sloan of Bigfork, MT; 3 grandchildren, Elizabeth Ohme of Madrid, Spain, Allie and Oliver Ohme of Sandwich, IL; Brother, Garry; Sister-in-law, Jean Ohme of Leland, IL; As well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Elyot “Mope” and Berline; His brother, Terrence “Terry” (Little Mope); His nephew, Garrett Ohme; And sister-in-law, Julie Ohme.

Memorials may be given to any number of veteran charities of your choice.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. with a memorial service to be held immediately following at 7:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548.
