Lester Golden

Lester Golden, 89, of Washington, NC, formerly of Ashton and Rochelle, IL passed away on July 10, 2018. He was born January 24, 1929 in Morristown, TN to Buford and Bulah (Sels) Golden. He proudly served U.S. forces in the Army. He married Vera M. Williams on June 26, 1948 in Rockford, IL. He was a life member of the Church of God in Rochelle, IL.

Lester is survived by 2 daughters, Vickie (Sam) Phillips of Ava, MO and Connie (Jerry) Keimg of Morristown, NC; 2 sisters, Irene Harris of Rochelle, IL and Judy (Raymond) Prah of Morristown, TN; as well as 5 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vera; 4 sisters, Hazel, Agnes, Lorine and Linda; and 3 brothers, Jeff, Max and Elmer.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 12 P.M. at Beverage-Lyons Family Funeral Home on 704 N. 6^th St. Rochelle, IL 60168. Visitation will be held prior from 10 A.M. to time of service. Burial to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rochelle, IL. The officiate will be Chaplain Judy Williams. www.beveragelyonsfamilyfh.com
