Linda M. Morrissey

Linda Marie (Crew/Waddell) Morrissey of East Peoria, also known as (Linder Bender, Nana, Grandma Linda), went “Home” at 76 years of age on February 5th, 2024. While surrounded by her loved ones.

Beloved Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Friend, & loving daycare provider to many. Born to Glenn E. Crew and Maudie E. (King) Crew on February 18, 1947 as their eldest child.

Linda is survived by her 2 children, Shelley Lynn (Waddell) Barnes (Chuck), of East Peoria, IL and Dustin D. Morrissey of East Peoria, IL & 1 stepson, Troy Morrissey of Peoria, IL; Blessed with 10 Grandkids, and 7 Great Grandkids; Siblings, Glenn A. Crew (Char) of Magnolia, IL, Robert (Bob) Crew of Granville, IL, Cheryl (Crew) Smith (David) of Magnolia, IL, Debra (Crew) Price (Jerome) of Morgan City LA, and Pamela (Crew) French of Magnolia, IL.

Proceeded in death by her husband Richard Morrissey, a stepson Todd Morrissey, both of East Peoria; Her parents, Glenn & Maudie Crew of Magnolia, IL; 1 Brother, Dannie E. Crew of Sparland, IL; And a half-brother, Jerry Lowery of Waynesville, IL.

Linda was a successful entrepreneur; she ran an in-home daycare for 35 + years “Linda’s Daycare”. She also ran a gift shop in Peoria Heights, East Peoria & Pekin “Treasures Galore - Flowers & More” for several years. Kids, family, home decorating & shopping were her passions.

A “Celebration of Life” open house is planned for February 18th (this would have been her 77^th birthday) at Mickie’s Pizzeria 1051 E. Washington St. East Peoria, IL (from 2 pm – 6 pm) with services being at 5:00 pm by Paster Mark Willis for those who would like to attend.
