Marlene J. (Bolton) Anderson

Marlene J (Bolton) Anderson, 91, of Mendota I, (Formally of Lombard I) passed away on October 4th, 2023. In Allure of Mendota (formally Heritage Manor), surrounded by her family, Marlene was born in Chicago Il to Warren B Bolton and Harriet W Bolton on November 9th, 1931.

She went to Lincoln school in Lombard, and graduated from Glenbard West in Glen Ellyn (Glenbard East was not built yet). Over the years Marlene worked harder than a lot of women had to in her days, raising 3 kids on her own and working multiple jobs at a time. She was a dedicated mother to say the least. Mama bear had shown up many times for each one of us.

She enjoyed being a banquet waitress for Oakbrook Hills Hotel, as well as the Carlisle. She also read water meters in both Downers Grove and Lombard.

Marlene is preceded in death by Warren and Harriet Bolton, her brothers, Warren Jr (Bucky), and Norvin Bolton.

Marlene is survived by her children, Andy Anderson, Brenda Andreini, &Cathy Fitzgerald. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters. Alfred Bolton, Carole Hess, Nancy Banks, Bil (Susan) Bolton, Susie Bishop, and Bonnie Martin, as well as her grandchildren, Cody (Carly) Sweet. Kyra (Bryan) Kaiser. Hannah (Jaymz) Murano. Joshua and Kasie Andreini, Heather (Clint) Sands, Melanie (Sam) Raymond, Colleen (Jeremy) King, and Rheanna Fitzgerald, and great grandchildren, Honestye and Weston Sweet. Josephine Andreini, Autumn, Payton, and Bristol Sands, Harlie and Sam Jr Raymond, and Braylen King.

We would like to give a special thanks to Allure of Mendota & Hospice. A heart felt shout out to Luke from Hospice, a kind caring soul that in the short time we met him, he gave us his all.
