Mary Elizabeth McCune

Mary Elizabeth McCune 81, of Sandwich, IL. passed away March 22nd 2018 in Ottawa, IL. She was born on November 18th 1936 in Somerville, NJ to the late Albert and Anne E. (Yawger) Maurer.  Mary was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church of Sandwich, she worked as a learning assistant at the Dummer Middle School. Then worked and retired from the pharmacy dept at the Plano Wal Mart. Mary enjoyed listening to books on tape, but her biggest joy was going with family to museums, the zoo and going on family vacations especially the Disney Cruise. Mary is survived by her loving children; Barbara (Tim) McGregory of Sheridan and Timothy ( Robin ) McCune of Hermosa Beach, CA . 1 sister Margaret (Peggy) Gaul of Macomb, IL. 6 grandchildren; Bryana (Charles) Deak, Brittany (Adam) Suchland, Brandi (Tim) Branna, Shannon, Clark and Caroline, and a soon to be here great granddaughter whom Mary is holding until that special day Kennedy Elizabeth. She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Helen Jane Smart and a brother Edward (Teddy).  Visitation will be Wednesday March28th 2018 from 4-7 p.m. at the Beverage Family Funeral Home Sandwich, IL. Funeral service will be held Thursday March 29th 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church Sandwich, IL. with Rev. David Kaul officiating.
