Norvin Louis Moss

Norvin Louis Moss, 80, of Rochelle, IL passed away on August 01, 2018 at Bethany Health Care and Rehab in Dekalb, IL. He was born February 03, 1938 in Sioux City, Iowa to Marvin and Florence (Sprenger) Moss. He was in the United States Air Force and Illinois Air National Guard for 29 years, with 1 year in Vietnam. He also was a scout master for 9 years and had 9 Eagle scouts under him in Rochelle Troop 312. He worked 25 years at Swift and retired as a Federal Meat Inspector for Aurora Packing Company.

Norvin is survived by 2 children, Randy (Dianna) Moss of Creston, IL and Kathie (Tim) Pemberton of Rochelle, IL; 1 sister, Karen (Floyd) Baber of Sioux City, IA; 6 grandchildren, JR (Monica) Pemberton, Tiffany Pemberton, Kenny (Nadine) Dutka, Angelena Moss, Tara Freund and SSG Randall Moss Jr (Kassy);  7 great grandchildren, Austin Pemberton, Jayden Banta, Alex Pemberton, Addison Moss, Zachariah Moss, Laurel Dutka and Willow Pemberton; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend Patricia Maher of Ely, IA.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his spouse, Geraldine (Gerri).

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 4-8 P.M. at Beverage-Lyons Family Funeral Home, 704 N. 6^th St, Rochelle, IL 61068. Funeral services to be held the next day, August 7, 2018 at 10 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Trinity Memory Garden Cemetery in Rochelle, IL.
