Randall William (Randy) Rogers (April 9, 1963 - February 16, 2018) Randall William (Randy) Rogers, 54 of Bristol passed away at home in the loving care of his family, on February 16, 2018. Randy was born April 9, 1963 in Melrose Park, IL the son of Max and Sandy (Cooke). He attended and graduated from Kaneland High School, where he met his forever love Merri Christine (Chris) Enoch. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University, Randy and Chris were married on March 21, 1987 at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Aurora. For a time they settled in Aurora until they found their dream lot and with the help of family built their dream home on the pond in Bristol. The beautiful park like setting allowed Randy to enjoy nature at it's best, frequently fishing the pond. On February 23, 1997 Randy and Chris were blessed with a son, Jonathon William. From that moment on Jonathon was Randy's pride, joy and focus. Always supporting Jonathon in all his endeavors. Most especially enjoying his sports. Randy was an open minded, loving, supportive, forgiving and active husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, neighbor, church member and singer. Serving many years and in many ways in his church (Sugar Grove United Methodist Church), chorus and homeowners association. Music was a part of everyday. One of Randy's greatest joys was his hobby of barbershop singing. He began singing with his father, Max in the 1980's. Overcoming his fear of performing and going on to entertain many as far away as St. Petersburg, Russia with his pure voice. He sang in both choruses and quartets (most recently Brotherhood of Harmony and Q'd Up), winning medals and was honored with a number of awards for his contributions to the hobby. Randy was an avid sportsman enjoying fishing, hunting, shooting, biking, hiking, camping and of course playing catch or frisbee with Jonathon. He was a fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs enjoying many games and tailgating experiences with family and friends. Randy always looked forward to the annual family vacation to Ft. Myers Beach, FL where there was nothing but time to spend with family. Randy worked as an Information Technology professional his whole career. Eventually founding his own company, Data Management Systems, Inc. in 2002. He most recently worked with Fulton May Solutions in Oak Brook as an IT Service Desk Engineer. Randy's loving, supportive and laid back ways will be missed. But his joy of singing will live on in the lives of all he touched with his beautiful voice. Randy was preceded in death by his mother Sandy, his brother-in-law Mark Owen Enoch and father-in-law Gerald Lee (Bud) Enoch. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Chris, son Jonathon at home, his father Max (Eileen) of Franklin Park, sister Janet (Darrell) Burson of Campton Hills, brother-in-laws, Mike (Carol), Gene (Chris), Matt, mother-in-law Betty, step-siblings Christa (Ian), Scott (Kathy), Carla, step- father Morgan, 18 nieces and nephews, 8 great nieces and nephews and countless friends.
