Robert "Bob" Dale Lundeen

Robert "Bob" Dale Lundeen, 60 passed away surrounded by family on December 2, 2024. 

Bob was a simple man, who didn't need much in life to feel rich.He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and two dogs, and in a comfortable chair while camping with close friends. 

He was a collector of all things interesting.From gadgets and drones, building models airplanes, and indulging in the latest HAM radio technology. Bob graduated from Naperville North High School in 1982. Not long after, he left for the mountains in Denver Colorado, where he eventually married the joy of his life, Robin Lynn (Brisart.) Bob was a jack of all trades and a devoted member of the local 597 Pipefitters Union for 16 years.

During 36 years of marriage came 3 children. Megan Nicole Lundeen (Ryan Caulley) Matthew Allen Lundeen (Brittany Louis) and Robert James Lundeen. His heart grew much bigger following his 4 grandchildren. Rylie Caulley, Liam Lundeen, Cole Caulley and Matthew Lundeen. 

If you knew Bob, you knew he had a lot to say, without saying much at all. He offered unsolicited advice with good intentions and kept a revolving door to his home at all times. 

He will be remembered for his strong mindset, and his soft heart. His laugh while watching re-runs of The Big Bang Theory, his jokes that never had the right punchline and the way his face lit up around his family. 

This is where we mention his dogs, Ryder and Nico. He would have thought they deserved a proper mention. 

He is preceded in death by his father Richard Allen Lundeen and his mother Joyce Lee (Scerbicke) Lundeen.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Homes, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to provide new playground equipment to Rolling Oaks Campground where Bob and his family have been members for several years. Contributions can be made through this link and cash/checks can be given at services in donation box.
