Ronald Doran Ankney

Ronald Doran Ankney, 77, of Rochelle, IL passed away on May 20, 2021. Ronald was born on November 13, 1943 in Chicago, IL to Gordon and Grace (Ludvigsen) Ankney. Ronald married Freda Ramsey in Rochelle, IL on September 27, 1963. He was a member of the VFW and Rochelle Moose Lodge. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. He also enjoyed playing Lightning and Darts.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Freda; 2 children, Doran Ankney of Rochelle, IL and Brandi (Allen) Ankney of TN; 2 sisters, Dorene (Butch) Tebockhorst of St. Augustine, FL and Cheryl (Danny) Potts of Dandridge, TN; 1 sister Laurie Kramer and a brother  Rod Ankney of WV; 6 grandchildren, Tyler, Kaitlin, Chelsea, Austin, Aubrey and Chalee Grace; As well as 2 great grandchildren, Braxton and Jayce.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister, Lowaine; 1 son, Boyd McCoy; And 2 brother-in-laws, Scott Kramer and Kenny Bucher. 

Interment of cremains will be held at a later date at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle, IL. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Beverage-Lyons Family Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be made at www.beveragelyonsfamilyfh.com
