Ronald George Sebek, 63, passed away on November 21, 2019. Ronald was born on February 18, 1956 in Chicago, IL to George and Kathleen (Lynch) Sebek. Ron was highly skilled in the field of electronics, so much so, he was highly sought after by companies and schools alike. He was self-taught working first on CB radios, his personal radio had 40 channels well before it was legal. From a young age, he spent many years working at the Museum of Science and Industry where he worked in the coal mine and gave tours on the train. This job introduced him to many friends, as well as his wife of 22 years. After marriage he moved to Sandwich, where his 2 children were born. Not only was he a strong provider, he also always had a smile and a joke for everyone around him. He earned the prestigious small electronics license, an honor held by less than 100 people in Illinois and spent the rest of his career in the alarm field. In his free time, he loved playing Backgammon even though he was usually beaten by his son. After leaving the alarm field he focused on another passion, which was fixing bicycles. He was given not only a job but a home and second family by the Juarez’s, Israel, Maria and family. He passed happy and content surrounded by people who loved him.
Rondald is survived by his former wife, Kathie; 2 children, Jeremy Sebek and Rachel (Brandon) Krueger; as well as 1 brother, Keith (Fran) Sebek.
