Sharon P. MacDonald

Sharon Patricia MacDonald, 74, of Sandwich, IL passed away on May 14, 2021. Sharon was born on April 20, 1947 in Chicago, IL to John and Margaret (Broadhurst) Minor. She graduated Austin High School in Chicago in 1964. Sharon married Perry MacDonald on March 27, 1965 at St. Cletus Parish in La Grange, IL. She worked at the Walmart in Naperville on Rt 59 and 75th. She was quite a fighter and battled through three bouts of cancer. She also was associated with several senior centers in the area and she enjoyed her traveling from Cape Cod to Alaska.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Perry; 3 children, Teresa MacDonald of Sandwich, Robert MacDonald of Sandwich and Kristina MacDonald of Sandwich; 1 grandchild, James Taylor (JT) MacDonald; 1 sister, Patrice Klausegger of WI; 1 brother, Delon Dotson of VA; As well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the donor’s choice.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. on Saturday May 22, 2021 at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 P.M. with burial to follow out to Oak Ridge Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Beverage Family Funeral Home.
