Tara Lynn Greer

Tara Lynn Greer, 48, of Sandwich, IL passed away at her home unexpectedly on February 2, 2021. Tara was born on October 18, 1972 in Wheaton, IL to Edward Stebler and Elizabeth Labie.

Tara loved spending her good days fishing—all day if she could. If she wasn’t fishing she loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandson, whether it be gardening, watching a new series or movie with her husband, staying up late with her crazy kids, or FaceTiming with her daughter and grandson for hours. Tara’s whole world lit up when she was around her grandson, Logan, and was so excited for her granddaughter’s arrival this June. 

She was ALWAYS there for everyone and anyone even when she was dealing with constant pain and health issues. She loved helping people in any way she could and wished to be able to do so many things. Tara had so many amazing friends through the years that loved her so much. Tara’s family hopes those memories with her are never forgotten, and just know that she wished she could have done so much with everyone and just couldn’t —not only physically, but mentally as well. 

Tara’s family is big on “I love you’s”, and would laugh at how they would say “I love you” a million times before finally leaving the house. The family is so grateful for this. 

Tara is survived by her parents, Elizabeth (Harry) Floit and Edward Stebler (Karen); Her husband, Randy Greer; 3 children, Krista Killey (Ryan), Adam Greer (Sam) and Drew Greer (Sydney); Grandchildren; Logan Killey and a granddaughter, Leila Killey, due in June; 3 sisters, Jessica Floit (Dave), Melisa Floit (Pete), and Teresa Floit (Joel); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Tara is preceded in death by Francis and Delores Labie (grandparents), Phil and Dotty Stebler (grandparents), and Helen Floit (grandmother).

The family decided based on Tara’s wishes, and with everything going on currently, there will be a celebration of life this summer (date TBD). Cremation rites were accorded. Arrangements were entrusted to Beverage Family Funeral Home. www.beveragefamilyfh.com
