Tracy Cook

Tracy Cook, 52, of Ottawa, IL passed away at his home in Ottawa on September 20, 2024. Tracy was born on January 25, 1972 in Joliet, IL to Robert “Tony” Cook Sr., from Bacliff, TX and Bonnie (Jacque) Cook Nattsas from Morris, IL both formerly from Coal City, IL.

Tracy was a union brick layer. He enjoyed swimming, water skiing, playing cards, bingo, grilling out, and outdoor festivals. He especially enjoyed spending time with his life long best friend Bob Bastian and going to Cubs baseball games together. He and Bob also enjoyed helping elderly people at the apartment building he resided in and in the community. Tracy received an award for community service. Tracy loved his dog Daisy most and could be found in the afternoon in the park with Daisy introducing her to the children there.

Tracy is survived by his siblings, Robert “Tony” Cook Jr. of Joliet, IL and Lisa Cook of Matteson, IL.

He is preceded in death by his parents and step-father Richard C. Nattsas; Grandparents, Mary and Coy Cook, from Hendersonville, TN formerly of Coal City, IL and Arlene and Raymond Jacque from Coal City, IL; as well as a brother, Eric Cook from Ottawa, IL.
