Valerie Lee Sherman-Edwards

Valerie Lee Sherman (married as Edwards and also as McCaslin) born in Sandwich, Illinois on August 5th 1948 passed away on October 28, 2020 after her long battle with cancer. She is survived by her children Timmothy Edwards, Sinkinda McCaslin (née Tamburrino), Tammy McCaslin (née Breese), and Anthony Edwards as well as her brothers Steven and Ronald  Sherman, 18 grandchildren and she was awaiting the arrival of her second great grand child. she is also survived by her Aunt Sally (William)Kolb and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother David 2007.
Raised by her paternal grandparents Maynard and Josephine Sherman (of Lafayette St) Valerie was a county girl at heart. An avid naturalist and gardener she spent many an afternoon at the Sannauk Forest Preserve, fishing on the Fox River, and hiking the canyons and trails of Starved Rock.
She loved English and American Literature, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and The Beach Boys. She never met a dog that she didn’t love and her children will forever think of her when they see cardinals and lilac flowerserie
