Virginia R. Copp

Virginia R. Copp, 79, passed away peacefully at Bickford Assisted Living in Oswego, Illinois on February 14, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Virginia was born on June 27, 1945, in Sandwich, Illinois to Clifford Reinhart and Lillian (O’Neill) Reinhart. She attended Sandwich schools and graduated from Sandwich High School in 1963. She married Charles Copp in 1965, and became a devoted wife and mother. She was a meticulous housekeeper and developed her own house cleaning business. In later years, she also worked as a bookkeeper and bill processor for several companies. In her spare time, she loved being outside and tending her flower gardens and cuddling with her cats. Virginia was a loving and kind hearted person.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Angel’s Grace Hospice, the staff at Bickford that became her friends, and also her close friends that became family along this journey. Thank you for everything.

Virginia was proceeded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles. She is survived by her daughter, Heather Copp (James Humbers) of Plano, Illinois, and sister, Sandra (Michael) Krickeberg of Sandwich, Illinois.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, Illinois 60548. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 P.M. with interment to follow out to Mount Olivet Cemetery, 278 Ashland Avenue, Aurora, Illinois.

Virginia had a special love for her cats. In lieu of flowers, donations to Tails Humane Society, 2250 Barber Green Road, DeKalb, IL or to an animal rescue group of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
